Support offered
RoadPeace provides free confidential support and information -
to the bereaved and the injured and their carers - through their
helpline, 12 hours a day, every day. Callers will be in touch with
trained volunteers, who have themselves suffered bereavement or
injury.
RoadPeace is grateful for the support of its Helpline sponsors. Please contact us if you wish
to Sponsor the helpline.
Written information on the numerous and complex procedures that
follow is also available to victims - on inquests, criminal and
civil court hearings and appeals. Depending on needs, further
information is available on post crash services for the injured and
bereaved, such as rehabilitation or trauma services.
A newsletter provides a forum for victims to participate, as do
many events and activities. A Remembrance Day for Road Traffic
Victims is held on each third Sunday in November and August is
observed as National Road Victim Month.
Local support can be possible through a network of individuals
and through local groups.
