Top Gear presenter injured
RoadPeace's response to Richard Hammond's crash
RoadPeace was very saddened, but not surprised, by the tragic
news of Richard Hammond's crash. Given our opposition to anything
that encourages the culture of speed, and that includes the Top
Gear programme, we have received many queries about our
response.
To remind all, RoadPeace works to reduce the suffering from
crashes, and at this time, our thoughts are with his family.
Devoted husbands and loving fathers are too precious a resource and
cannot be wasted. We hope for his full recovery.
Later will be the time to question the BBC's use of our license
fees to pay for such high-risk entertainment.
