The 'When Lives Collide' photographic exhibition by
award-winning commercial photographer Paul Wenham-Clarke, who
worked on the project with RoadPeace, UK's charity for road crash
victims, will be held at Oxo Tower from 6 - 29 January; and is
sponsored by Green Flag Motoring Assistance.
The exhibition contains some shocking images of crash scenes,
created using crashed vehicles and actors - to show the public how
terrible road crashes really are. Real scenes are quickly
cleared/sanitised, leading to a lack of knowledge and appreciation
of the potential risks and dangers when using the roads.
RoadPeace introduced Paul to their work, to the plight of road
victims and, most importantly, to the victims themselves, who were
willing to participate as they see this exhibition as an important
acknowledgement of their loss and suffering and an honour to their
loved ones.
There are plans for the exhibition to tour the country in
2006.
"RoadPeace is glad to have co-operated with Paul on this
important undertaking, which is bound to make a huge impact on
attitudes to road crashes" said Brigitte Chaudhry, President of
RoadPeace.
