Fundraise
Fundraising activities generate essential income for RoadPeace and, by getting other people involved, offer ways to share memories of loved ones as well as concerns about road deaths and injuries.
Supporters often organise events in memory of someone close to them who has been killed or injured in a road crash. Friends, families and communities find that fundraising activities give them an opportunity to get involved and show their support.
There are many different ways to raise money and it’s good to think of something that you enjoy doing or something that has particular meaning, either to you or to the person you are remembering. Be as creative and inventive as you can and you will be encouraged how other people will get involved and support you.
There are lots of different ways to raise money for RoadPeace. Here are a few recent fundraising events that people have organised;
- An annual football match organised by local police force
- 100 mile winter challenge cycle ride
- Open garden event
- Company dress-down day
- Musical concerts, poetry readings
- Coffee mornings, cake sales, raffles, quizes, and auctions
- Car boot sale
- Sponsored events: running, walking, cycling
- Skydive!
- Donations made in lieu of a birthday or wedding anniversary

Matchfunding
Many employers are keen to support their staff’s charitable events with matchfunding. They will add to (often match) the amount of money that you raise. Don’t forget to ask.
