FUNDRAISING
RoadPeace receives no statutory funding and relies on the
generosity and fundraising activities of members for a large part
of its income. If you would like to help us raise money to carry on
our support for the people bereaved and injured through road
crashes, please consider the following:
Become a full member and make a regular annual or monthly
donation - by cheque, direct debit or credit card - full details in
our 'Join RoadPeace' section
Enlist other members of your family, friends or neighbours
to join us
If you are a UK taxpayer, make sure you complete a Gift Aid
form - the Government will give RoadPeace a further 28% on all your
donations, including membership donations
Ask you employer if they operate a Matched Giving Scheme,
whereby they will match donations given to charity by their
employees
Make a donation through our on-line giving scheme - see the
home page of our website
Keep a RoadPeace collecting box at home for your small
change, or ask a local shop to keep one on the counter - please
ring the office for a box
Sponsor the RoadPeace Helpline for one week: £200
covers the cost of telephone, publications, postage etc for the
helpline for a week. Sponsorships are acknowledged on our website.-
sponsors can choose the date and a short message or dedication.
Please see our section 'Need Support' for a form.
Arrange a local event. Many of our members regularly hold
coffee mornings, dances, concerts, sports activities etc to raise
funds for us. Some also nominate RoadPeace to receive funds raised
for charity at their place of work. If you would like help, please
contact the RoadPeace Office.
Take part in a sponsored event - We have recently been
sponsored by people taking part in the London Marathon, The Great
North Run, The Great West Run, and many more. We can arrange for
sponsorships forms.
Write to local companies, trusts, rotary clubs etc. Tell
them about the work RoadPeace does and ask them to make a donation.
(Always quote our Registered Charity No. - 1087192)
Remember RoadPeace in your will. Many people like to leave a
legacy to a charity, which they have been associated with in their
lives, or perhaps one that has helped them through a difficult
period of their life. Please remember RoadPeace.
